Just a quick one to say that I've been a bit slack this week, been busy working and getting ready for the party both SMF & RMF are coming!!! Bit of news there but will leave that for another post! Getting excited for my daughters 3rd birthday tomorrow can't wait for her to open her presents.....think I'm a bit crazy! Till next time...

RSVPing and White Lies!

So, I've sent out the invites to eldest daughter's 3rd birthday, its only going to be small so I'm counting on the few that I've invited to actually turn up. Before even getting the invite CMF has told me that she has to go away that weekend for a suprise birthday that she forgot about but has already paid for the accomodation. Feeling a bit annoyed, her daughter is only 3 days younger than mine so we've been talking about the birthdays for ages and a couple of weeks ago she tells me about this forgotten party..... I think its because I didn't go to her husbands 30th. But at least I was honest, they had it at a club and you had to purchase your own lunch, plus take a present and there was no way I could afford it, I've told her the financial strain she was in and I thought I was being a good friend and telling the truth! I wonder if it would have been better just to make something up, or just not show up on the day and call 1/2 an hour after it started and told her that one of the kids was vomiting or that I was sick.
Waiting for SMF to reply but to her credit the party isn't till next Saturday and I put the RSVP as next Wednesday, I should've done it earlier, I hate waiting to see if people are going or not. It'll be interesting to see if she does come, I didn't go to either of her girls 2nd birthdays, the eldest I was pregnant and was having a day where I just couldn't face people (we'll put it down to pregnancy hormones) and the youngest I had just arrived home that day after giving birth to my youngest earlier in the week and the whole region was literally flooding. So, not sure if on purpose or not, wouldn't put it past her though that it was out of spite, didn't show up to my eldests 2nd birthday! Will be pissed if she doesn't show up to this one cause I've shown up to all of theirs this year....every other week in May, hers, 2 weeks, her eldest, 2 weeks, her youngest!
Also haven't heard anything from RMF, 2 things with her, 1 the invite was in my bag, fire alarm went off at work and coffee spilt on the envelope...whoops, 2 her hubby is going to Vietnam for a week or 2 that day, but he doesn't have to leave for the airport till 2ish and the party starts at 11 so it will be interesting to see if they come!

Friends

Throughout my future blogs I'll probably talk about 3 particular friends often.

The first friend I'm going to refer to as SuperMum (SMF), we all have one, she is the one who is a size 6 a week after giving birth, she's up at 6 every morning to go for an hour walk and 100 situps before her family gets up, her house is always spotless, dinner is always prepared and ready when hubby gets home, she is the hostess with the mostess, and we'll even through in a little bit crafty.

The next friend is RichMum (RMF), her baby is only a couple of months or so old and she is always out shopping (with or without baby) and is therefore always have new outfits, she was given the biggest gold bracelet you have ever seen when she had her baby, she's already taking her baby to gymbaroo and has plans to start swimming lessons when the weather starts to warm up, her home is new, modern with expensive fittings.

And lastly is my ClosestMum Friend (CMF), I don't say best friend cause my sister is truly my best friend. My CF is the one I speak to on an almost daily basis, don't know what I'd do without her but could sometimes have a break, of all friends I can be most honest with her, would never consider divulging financial probs to SMF or RMF.

The Begining

I've been thinking how I'm going to start and what I'm going to say and what is this blog going to be about??? To alot of people its probably going to be just a load of jibber, I'm hoping though that alot of others, particularly other Mums out there will be able to relate to my thoughts and feelings and provide a bit of hope that there are others like you out there!!


So I have a few goals.....

1. I want to be a yummy mummy by the time I'm 30 (next June)
2. I want to be a better wife (around the house, in the bed etc.)
3. I want to spend more quality time with my kids and being a family
4. I want to be more financially secure

I'll let you know how I'm going with my goals and and other little thoughts, ideas, tips I have along the way!!
